The Maple necks are roasted in a vacuum kiln over 300 degrees in temperature. The drying process vulcanizes the wood; meaning that a neck made from roasted Maple is stable, lightweight, and turns a warm caramel color. This increased stability means the neck is highly resistant to temperature and humidity changes.
Our roasted Maple neck has a faithful '59 LP profile, 22 highly polished medium frets with the classic 12" radius for comfortable chording, string bending, and lead playing. Additionally, the roasted Maple necks come with roasted fretboards of Maple, Rosewood, and Ebony.
